The Pizza Underground Plays; Watertown Food Trucks

FENWAY — The Pizza Underground, a pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band that includes Macaulay Culkin, plays this Saturday night at Church. Boston Magazine tried to get an interview with Culkin but was told to merely email some pizza-related questions for one representative of the band to potentially answer. Pizza-tinged metaphors about waning fame ensued. [BM]

Gefilte Shrimp Tomorrow; Connect Four Competition

JAMAICA PLAIN — Fatboy Secrets, a "modernized non-kosher Jewish cuisine" pop-up, pops up at Tres Gatos tomorrow (Tuesday, February 25) with dishes like helzel and gefilte shrimp. It's a six-course meal for $50, with optional wine pairings for $35. Reservations are strongly recommended; call (617) 477-4851. [FB]

Macaulay Culkin's Pizza/Velvet Underground Band The Pizza Underground Is Coming to Boston

For $15 on April 19th at Church, you can see the most vital musical act in today's genre of pizza-meets-the-Velvet-Underground. Most importantly, you can see a long-haired, sunglasses-bedecked Macaulay Culkin singing (and playing percussion and kazoo) about pizza in said musical act, which performs songs like "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice" and "Papa John Says." Buy your tickets immediately,...

The faithful who've discovered this "li'l hidden secret" in the Fenway praise its "delightful", "inventive" New American fare (brunch is a draw) and "fantastic" ‘deadly sins' cocktails; ecclesiatical trappings and nightly live music in the adjacent club lend it a "lot of character."

Backlash Beer Dinner at Church; Pop-Up Hot Chocolate

THEATRE DISTRICT — Every Friday through December 27th, a hot chocolate pop-up shop will pop up in the Revere Hotel's lobby from 3pm to 6pm. Guest chefs will be on hand creating desserts using the Taza hot chocolate mix as well. This Friday, for example, Sam Monsour of jm Curley will be serving boozy candy cane cream pie. Everything is "pay what you want," with all proceeds supporting The Home...
