We decided to try the AUC fish fry on Friday. We knew to go early, as it fills up quickly. Once again remember this is a classic WI bar, the bartender is also the cook, dishwasher, and waitress, so be patient. Starting with the good... The bartender and staff were friendly and efficient and the beer was cold. The bad.... The food was way below average. It was just tasteless. If you want the old time bar feel, this is your place. They still allow smoking when the windows can be opened. Personally, I wouldn't go back.

We have made this our "go to place" for above average burgers, sandwiches and melt in your mouth fried chicken. Add to that the very friendly, efficient, bartenders, and low cost, you can't top it. This bar has plenty of atmosphere and has specials all the time. The food is good, and it's a nice place to just sit and have a brew.
