I've been to this restaurant for more than 200 times since two years ago when I came to UIC. It's the cheapest choice around UIC east campus. And the food is not bad even for Chinese like me (we are more critical in Chinese food than American people do, for obvious reason).

China night cafe is a fun place to be! The decor is nice and the atmosphere is fun. I ordered the chicken chow mein and couldn't be be happier. I recommend this place!

Open Mon-Sat 11am-9:30pm. Menu items ($5-6 for regular size) include Hawaiian Delight (deep fried meats with a sweet sour sauce on the side), Curry Supreme, pepper steak, cashew shrimp. Small and quiet. Eat in or take out. Combination dinners for $4.60 include an egg roll and shrimp fried rice with entree. Hoe sai guy--breast of chicken, shrimp, and barbecue pork sauteed with diced Chinese subgum vegetables topped with crispy almonds--goes for $6.95. Other dishes for $5-$8 include egg foo young and seafood.
