Very good service in the restaurant.
Fast to the table.
Met the owner who was a nice guy.
He mentioned that it is very rare to see Australians in Upland, and we enjoyed the atmosphere, food and banter.

Friday dinner

By getting to China Gate at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday night it is pretty quiet which is nice since having six people in a booth it is hard to always hear the farthest person. The food is always very good and I especially like their Lemon Chicken and the fried wantons they serve when you first come in.

1970's time capsule

Wow! It reminded me of places from my past. Sort of a 1970's "that Chinese place" feel.
This isn't a trendy regional Chinese place. It's an old fashioned place where you order food by the number listed on the menu, which includes descriptions in English and Chinese. And that menu is extensive.
The food comes out fast, hot and good....

This restaurant is approximately ten years beyond needing a complete interior remodel and a lot of the staff could also use a remodel. Food is average, portions somewhat small for price, service and staff attitudes are poor and the place is a mess. Bathrooms and hall to bathrooms are a disaster. I hate paying for anything like this and I...
