For brides getting married in the off-season and on a budget, this vendor is an excellent option. That said, I would not recommend for any other situation. Calls were not returned for days and information had to be provided multiple times as it was being lost. It was impossible to get her off the phone. Darla and her staff were amazing! She is very personable and professional. She made my wedding day the most memorable day of my life. Chesapeake Wine Company is a wine (and spirits and beer) shop with a bar in the middle. It's also a great place to pick up snacks - with an emphasis on local sources - artisanal cheese and meats, accessorites, even local flowers! We offer live music at least once or twice a month, as well as tastings almost every Tuesday evening.

Owner Mitchell Pressman, usually on the premises, has selected each of the wines himself. He gives great advice to a less knowledgeable shopper -- helping him or her find the right wine to fit his or her taste and budget. Chesapeake Wine also has a great wine bar with cheese and antipasto snacks to help revive you during a shopping trip.

Dont be surprised to catch a live band rocking the Chesapeake Wine Company on weekends. Throughout the week, it functions more as a liquor store, with an obvious forte. Despite the diminutive bar, theres seating throughout, and the staff can always suggest a cheese plate to best complement your bottled or by-the-glass selection.
