We finally tried the Chee Peng Restaurant for the first time last week. We ordered take-out to avoid the rather sparse & shabby restaurant interior.
The food was great! As good or better than most we've had in Grand Rapids or Lansing. Thought the prices were comparable with most take-out we've had recently.
This is certainly now a top choice...

Service slightly slow but good grub! Seems to be fresh and authentic. The place looks scary but well worth it.

Dont judge until you taste their food, this little hole in the wall cranks out great food, fast! i've eaten at many asian restaurants in nearby lansing and grand rapids, and they've got NOTHING on Chee Peng. We like to order when we have company so we can try a lot of different entrees and we have never been disappointed....

Based on what we had, which were just apps, this was good!Crab Rangoon had green onion so that was nice.Egg roll cabbage was fresh and nothing tasted too deep fried.Sweet and sour sauce was pretty decent.I would like to come back and try a dinner.
