Dog And Cat Boarding & Grooming
This "kennel" doesnt even deserve one star. I boarded four of my dogs here for the one week I was in Florida. The total came to $418.00. For that amount of money, my dogs sat in the stinkiest, disease ridden, tiny, putrid box I have ever seen. The woman who runs the kennel (pushing 70?) admitted to not taking the dogs into the grass to use the bathroom, allowing them to urinate and deficate in their cage and then cleaning it up around them because the dogs were to strong for her to control on a leash (they also dont have a fenced in area for the dogs to roam). I have had my dogs home for TEN MINUTES and am already noticing bad coughs from the two elder dogs. I will now have to take them all to the vet and hope to God they do not have kennel cough. When I arrived to the kennel to pick up my dogs I was "greeted" with the smell of ammonia, feces and crying dogs, and the nastiest old woman I have ever had the dismay of meeting, she sent me away because I only had a credit card. After returning with cash, she had given me the dogs (ones paws covered in feces) I told her I would not return to the kennel because of the poor care my dogs had received. That escalated into this woman shrieking, cussing and PHYSICALLY attacking me (putting her hands on me, shoving me around the office and then shoving me out of the door and slamming it on my arm.) I have physical scratches and a bruise on my arm from this insane woman's attack. I have filed a police report for physical assault and I have filed several complaints to the animal welfare department and humane societies in hopes that they will shut this monstrosity down. NEVER EVER board your best friends at CHARDON COUNTRY KENNELS! Im surprised my dogs and I survived.

I have boarded my dogs and cat here for over a decade. They have all been well-cared for and in great shape when I get home. Bathing and hair trimming have been well done. I have a lab and a poodle-mix.

My one daughter takes her Shih Tzu here. They are the best! Kind, gentle, and do a wonderful job. Good people! Her dog actually likes going for her trim here, and sets her tail to wagging before she even gets to the door. When a dog is excited to go and not balk, that's speaks well in itself :D
