Here for work, first trip to Cookeville. Went to Char because they were recommended. The steak was great, however the crab cakes were too "bready', the broccoli bland and the sweet potato fries over cooked.

Yesterday at last minute our family 23 in total decided to go to a restaurant for dinner. We called and stopped at a few other places that could not handle such a large group, however Char's was not only able to seat us but they fit all of us together, food was wonderful, and service spectacular. Went with my mom to try a new place. We looked online and had our food picked out. We arrived and when we walked in the waitress stared at us and asked "can I help you?" This caught us offguard as we said we were there to eat. She seated us at our table and took our drinks. She then disappeared and came back out talking to another worker.
