Decent, casual, some good food some okay.

I've been here about 6 times over the past 3 years and it's been both good and just okay. Most recent visit was this week, and it was good, but mostly because I stuck with what this restaurant is good at - namely, shell fish entrees and thin crust pizzas. I have not been too impressed with the salads, and the fish entrees have been good but not great for the price. The main entree prices are over $20, but the pizzas are competitive with CPK at around $12.

I do like the wait staff, and even though I've gotten a different waiter every time I've been there, he or she has always been friendly and pleasant.

If you've been to Wild Thyme in South Pasadena, expect similar food with slightly more high-end presentation, slightly higher prices, and a much more elegant setting.

I'm sure I'll be back, since it is one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in Old Town Pasadena.

A new restaurant to try

Central Park is a new restaurant opened by the owners of Wild Thyme. Nice atmosphere, good service, good food. Reservations are needed, especially for weekends.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Central Park Restaurant Review

The operators of some San Gabriel Valley coffee shops (Canoe House, Beckham Grill & Bar, Shakers, Diner on Main) up the ante with this more upscale establishment. Sitting on a quiet stretch of Fair Oaks Avenue south of Old Pasadena --- just across from the city’s Central Park --- the space is comfortable and laid-back, with black-and-white photos of everybody from Marilyn Monroe to Larry Bird...

The restaurant is across the street from the park and has parking. We stopped by on a Saturday around 9:30 am and were able to get a table right away.
The breakfast menu has something for everyone: eggs, omelets, waffles, pancakes, etc. I ordered the...

Had the Florentine Omelet with Hash Browns and the Chicken and Waffles. Both were very good.

Our first time back after they rebranded. It was a wonderful experience. The Truffle Brussels with Blistered Capers are over the top. Augustine was our server and was very helpful. Looking forward to trying something else on the menu.

Miss the polenta.too small to be a sports bar. Burgers and sandwiches very ordinary. Should have stayed central park just update the decor. Menu nothing to rabe about.
