In tiny Cayucos, 4 miles north of Morro Bay, a shipping pioneer's 1867 home is now a luxurious bed-and-breakfast surrounded by rose and other gardens. This is a must-stop if you find yourself on the Central Coast. Personally I'd make it a destination and book a room while you're at it. That way you can eat and drink your way into culinary oblivion with only a short walk upstairs to end the night. That's my plan for my next visit. It's a Central Coast wine country destination worth the detour.

My husband and I had such an amazing time tonight for our 1 year anniversary. It was such a treat, it will definitely be one of those moments in my life I will cherish. Compliments not only to the chef but also our waiter and assistant - they made the experience even more amazing. I will be recommending the Cass House to everyone I know.

High end food with a hint of playfulness(my escargot with fiddleheads and wheatgrass was a play on a spring nocal marsh-and one of the best things I have put in my mouth), impeccably served. High end on the central coast. Incredible!
