Unprofessional

Stylist completely ruined my bangs...cut 2-3 inches back into my hairline, lopsided and uneven. When I complained, I was completely ignored, repeated requests to have the owner call me were unheeded. The owner finally wrote me in response to a letter I sent, with pictures of the cut (before and after) and I was told that I was given a complimentary bang cut and they did nothing wrong. I was a regular customer, not a one-time client or walk-in. I had spent well over $3000 there in a year and thought I was on good terms with the personnel. I found out that you are...until something goes wrong.

The owner did not personally respond to my complaint...never asked to see my hair or talked to me personally. One of the girls at the front desk was actually very rude and flippant the second time I came in attempting to see the owner or manager. I cannot believe how unprofessional they were handling something like this.

I am now going to True Blue on West End. Two stylist there could not believe what had been done to my bangs, nor could they believe how my complaint was handled.

Cashmere may be in a "trendy area" with high-priced products but that does not make them a professional salon. They seem to have a few more experienced stylists there but a lot of "new graduates" also. The "stylist" that did this is on their website as their "manicurist/pedicurist"...no mention of her hairstyling abilities or experience. I now realize that my bangs were cut, not like what I had, but like 80% of the girls working in there.

Reinforces my belief that this is nothing more than a "cookie-cutter" salon, one style fits all. Very disappointed that a business would treat a good customer this way.

As an aside...if you check out True Blues reviews, there is one bad review. What is so impressive is that someone from the salon replies to them to please "call them, come in and let them make this right". Now, THAT is a professional salon. The experience there is so much more "pampered" and relaxing than I ever had at Cashmere.
I should have never gone back after one of the stylist "preached" to me the whole time I was in her chair about her "ministry" and how gay people were an abomination to God. Really? I think a hair salon is the last place you want to be spouting off things like that, Plus...you never know who, in your chair, has beautiful, loving gay people in their family. Yes, I should have never, ever gone back after that one.
