As far as I know Casa Michaela is the only Mexican restaurant in the vicinity, and they are excellent. As a matter of fact, I would rank them among the best regardless of location. They vary the traditional recipes enough to make them interesting while preserving the traditional flavor of Mexican cooking. Try the enchiladas!

Casa Michaela's is a little out of town but so worth the 5 minute drive! The atrmosphere is great and the views of the mountain peaks are wonderful! The food is very tasty and if you like spicy salsa, there's is about the best I've ever found in a Mexican restaurant! (They also have mild salsa)

Eastern Sierra has had such breathtaking scenery, plus this restaurant! We ordered their famous ribeye steak and it's juicy and outstanding! No wonder ppl from our motel recommended it. The side viggies crispy and fresh too! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone coming to the area!

Small & rustic, steaks, burgers ,Mexican - great value & great taste

You get a lot of food for the money. One of they best burgers I have ever tasted.
Portions are generous. Beautiful view of a valley a mountain range. You can eat inside or at tables outside.

I always eat here when visiting Bodie and Mono Lake. I have only had one meal that wasn't up to their usually good standards and that was the only time I went there for lunch.
Dinners are always excellent and the folks who work there are always very friendly!
