Capitol Beer and Taproom is located in a renovated shopping area near Cal State Sacramento. Based on their signage, it's called Cap Tap.

Popped in while visiting from SoCal. I figured I should give it a try given the ratings and reviews. I think this place should be rated in two parts. First, the bottle shop half. This is simply not up to par. Barely one wall, and nothing out of the ordinary. They did have Parabola, Pugachev's Cobra, and things like this, but this are sitting on shelves everywhere. This is a great place to grab a beer. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They always have 20 different beers on tap (I think one is usually a cider), so it's easy to find something you'll like and I always am able to try something new. They don't serve food, so feel free to bring your own!

I visited this Taproom during a business visit and made it my last destination of my trip. I'd wish i knew about this place earlier. They have an incredible selection of good taps and bottles for purchase. Strongly recommend you visit this place while in Sacramento.

The place to go in Sacramento. 20 taps, mostly regional. A few killers as well, tough decisions to be made here, lots of top notch taps. Looks like a normal strip mall eatery, everything changes when you walk through the door.
