DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT rent here. Drug dealers and ghetto scary dudes galore, and drunk obnoxious students that dont have jobs so get into shouting matches in the parking lot at 3 in the morning on weeknights. Often. Stay FAR FAR away if you are a professional, it looks nice and I do like the actual apartment, but it is A NIGHTMARE!
These apartments look very nice and well kept at first glance, but once you live in them you realize all the money is spent on landscaping and the office. I have never had so many problems in an apartment in seven months. The management is rude, not helpful, and do not take care of situations properly. The maintenence, once you get them to come out, do not fix problems, but only mask them.
It takes several calls before getting any maintenance people to show up to the apartment.
Although a little expensive, Cape House is almost worth every penny. The complex is safe, it is close to Butler Blvd, UNF, grocery stores, and only minutes away from the beach. The pool area is fantastic and is a fun place to hang out. The apartments are very large-spacious kitchen with appliances, the master bathroom has a garden tub, and they also offer good closet space. I have lived here...
I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment at Cape House for about 4 months until my room mate couldn't afford rent. I moved back in a year later with my boyfriend into a one bedroom and we lived there for 2 years. We LOVED it!
