What the community has to say about Camp

Information about this business (3)

Camp on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens would be funny if it were a little more over the top, but as is the venue simply provides some tongue-in-cheek fun. Decorated like a log cabin and peppered with deer heads, the bar aspires to bring patrons back to nature. The happy hour deal is a decent two-for-one, and menu offerings like s'mores help patrons escape from the mean streets of the city. DJs...

Camp is a bar stylized as, well, camp. Archery targets, canoes, wood paneling, all set the scene. Stop by for a drink. Stay over for a few more.

Editorial reviews from the web (3)

This bar is like a Smith Street, ski lodge, winter wonderland. The blazing fireplace, the trophy heads (including one dangerously close to the blazing fireplace), the kayak in the corner, the rough-hewn wooden walls. You can even order s’mores supplies. Yet somehow, it all remains understated, just a place for a young crowd to hang out with friends and get cozy.

Kitschy, camp-themed bar, complete with wood-burning fireplaces and mounted deer heads. Wooden slats and hay awning exterior primes you for great outdoors mood. Inside, toast marshmallows and make s'mores while drinking overly sweet cocktails. Operation and Scattergories for more innocent campers; Big Buck Hunter for those with blood on their minds. Considering the theme, bathrooms are...

Grown-up summer camp kids get sentimental at this bungalow of a bar.

In Short
A mounted deer head, log cabin-like walls and a working fireplace add to the woodsy appeal of this summer camp-inspired lounge. The clientele--a late 20s to early 30s set--is...

Loved the vibe here. Feels just like a cabin in the woods and is a great escape from the hustle and bustle. Good selection of draft beers and split the smores. So unique! It was a little pricey...

Taxidermy! I have what one may call an obsession with these dead little critters. So much so that I have taken the liberty to create a "NY- Taxidermy" yelp list. If you too are on this taxidermy...

I really tried to enjoy Camp. After all, any place that serves my favorite snack ever already has a leg up on the competition. I came here for a friend's 30th birthday, and long story short, I...

Sushi restaurants in NYC are a dime a dozen. I'm pretty jaded being a native New Yorker so it really takes a lot to impress me. Kiku did have the typical dim lighting and trendy atmosphere common to…

Business description (4)

Bars, Taverns & Cocktail Lounges

“Sleeping bags” aren’t required at this “lodge”-like Boerum Hill theme bar that re-creates the “summer-camp” experience with “deer heads and canoes on the wall” and “s’mores” for snacking; if you “like the idea of camping” but “don’t like actually being outdoors”, look no further.

A recent addition to Boerum Hill's bar scene, Camp brings a laid-back vibe to upper Smith St. Log cabin walls, tree trunk stoles, and common room activities (including a few favorite board games) recall the days of summer camp. The bar also offers select snacks; be sure to try their s'mores while sitting by the cozy fireplace. Amiable servers and bartenders keep the feel-good vibe going well...
