While "cheaper" and "less romantic" than its across-the-way forerunner, Tosca, this Hingham Italian cafe is similarly "high in quality", turning out "amazing" pastas and "thin-crust designer pizzas"; while the interior's "cozy" and "rustic", fair-weather fans maintain it's "most pleasant when dining outdoors" on the tree-lined patio.

Calamari breading was stiff & tasteless. Wouldn't be surprised if it were pre-packaged and previously frozen. Eggplant parm, should be re-labeled as "eggplant soup". Disgusting.

Very unimpressive meal the other night.
Three of us ordered "HALF" portions of some pasta dishes that were on the menu. Forget that the portion size was exaggerated! - the "bowls" of pasta arrived sitting in a pool of broth - not what one would expect.
Waitress appeared to want to be attentive - but she totally missed the mark....

I visited Caffe Tosca for dinner with a friend on a July evening. We did not have a reservation, but were accommodated without delay, and chose to sit inside due to the humidity.
