Editorial reviews from the web (3)

Beverly Hills' "old guard" are livin' "la dolce vita" at this "tutto Italiano" cafe by Agostino Sciandri (Ago) where the "extraordinary people-watching" often upstages the "reliable" food ("rocking" salads and pizzas) at moderate to high prices; "happy hour is beyond happy", and nighttime touches like silent black-and-white flicks, live music and DJ sets amp up the "amazing scene."

you're likely to hear Italian being spoken by the guests sipping espresso on the patio, day or night. Tucked away in Le Grand Passage, Caffe Roma has long been a favorite with Italian expatriates longing for a cafe that feels as if it's on…

Los Angeles isn't know for Italian food, but the truth is, Beverly Hills has rather a collection of old-country restaurants. Caffe Roma shut down for a bit to come back with ante upped. Now a stronger player. Not a temple of high cuisine, more a neighborhood favorite. The menu is massive: a pasta for everybody; desserts for all palates.

Too chaotic. Too loud. Lack of curtesy for the customers. Only focused on bussiness aspect. Our table was on the way of the servers. They should have never accepted our reservation. Literally had to ask the server for Parmesan cheese seven times. She had an attitude as if she was doing us a favor. Still tipped her well because of the holiday spirit.

Caffe Roma continues to disappoint and I continue to visit.

We go to Caffe Roma about once a week. The staff knows use and always greets us and usually brings our drinks even before we order. They usually have something out off the ordinary on the daily special. Great place. Try it, you will like it.

The waitress didn't know we're coming and was a bit confused, but she made up for it, and kept coming to our table; super friendly (almost too much).
