It was a dreary, rainy, typical Washington day and I was in the mood for a good chai latte (as you can tell I'm obsessed with them). I was trying to find a good cafe with one of my really close friends from high school. We were soaked to the bone and tired but we found Cafe Solstice right on the Ave. It was meant to be.

I go to UW and come here from time to time. Their coffee is great but stay away from the black tea! I don't know what it is about it, but I barely was steeping mine for 2-3 minutes and after I finished my glass I had to run to the bathroom because it was really bitter and threw off my stomach! :( If you want a good cup of coffee in a loud (I mean that in a good way) coffee shop then come here,...

I love this cafe and the great music they always have on every time I come here ❤️ Great tea! They even serve beer!
