Space is one thing you will not find at this tiny, 40-seat trattoria. But you will find warm, personal service, delicious food, and low prices. Homemade bread, Italian meat and fish staples—such as salmon with sautéed radicchio, and fabulous pastas keep customers coming back for more. Try the spinach-and-cheese cannelloni or the meaty lasagna. The cafe has the comfortably crowded ambience of a...

Editorial reviews from the web (3)

The "straightforward Italian classics" are "fantastic" at this "longstanding" Surfsider that's something of a "Latin celebrity" hang; sure, it's often "noisy" and pretty "expensive", but they "make you feel like family" and ease occasional waits with complimentary wine.

Cafe Ragazzi Restaurant Review

This Surfside neighborhood restaurant has grown up: An expanded space has let some much-needed air into the hitherto noisy and cramped, but always festive, trattoria. Dive into deep bowls of surprisingly sophisticated homemade pastas like raviolini di vitello (spinach pasta stuffed with veal mousse in a sage-seasoned light cream sauce). Seafood and fresh porcini mushroom risottos are also done...

This Surfside neighborhood favorite may feel cramped, but when the pasta hits your palate that's amore.

In Short
Until a recent renovation there were only about a dozen tables at this bustling eatery. These days, the 24 marble-topped tables are still almost always full, but locals have come...

Food terrific

Food terrific, but the seat fabric was very soiled. I detected a a slight smell of mildew but my partner did not. Soggy pizza dough but all other dishes were really really good.

Great restaurant and service

Really nice Italian restaurant on the Surfside strip just off the beach road....pasta was excellent and the wine too (if not a bit pricey). Service was top notch and would recommend again for a special night out.

We were the only people in the restaurant for lunch but I hear the evening is busy. I still wish our pasta dish came with bread or a side. I was presented with an ugly-looking bowl of fettuccine and that was it. Delicious, though!

Fabulous pasta

There were 7 of us enjoying dinner and each loved our pasta dishes! I asked for extra anchovies for my Caesar salad and it was delicious too. We all agreed we'd go back.

Excellent food, large portions

The service and food were excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. I had the lobster ravioli which was quite rich and filling. The Caesar salad was the best I've had in Miami. My husband had an artichoke appetizer which was amazing.
