This restaurant has closed. When open we enjoyed it. There is a sign posted on the door that says to follow them on the web so maybe they are planning on reopening at a new location.

Although my first review of Cafe Assorti was rather positive, I felt the need to compose a new review based on more recent visits. The sad thing is, this place has become very bland. While it was previously one of the few choices for Russian and Central Asian cuisine, this is not longer the case and there are better options....

I have eaten at Cafe Assorti at least eight times. It definitely has the best Russian and Central Asian food in the DC area.

Came here for lunch w/ my brother since it's down the road from my brother's workplace. It was nice for a quiet lunch. The food was ok; the portions were pretty generous for the price. The service was just ok. When I ordered red wine to go w/ my entree the waiter just told me he'd bring me "his favorite" instead of bringing back the wine menu to let me choose my own wine.
