This expanded restaurant, something of a landmark in Little Brazil, may be a victim of its own success. I haven't found the waiters rude, as have some reviewers on this site, but warm and tingly feelings from the staff are not on the menu here. They seem cold and impersonal. That said, I still can't walk past this place without stopping a couple of times a year. They continue to get some things right, mainly the food. I know this restaurant for 20 years, and after all this time they still treating customers the ""same old way "" they did 20 years ago! The food is good, but the service still really terrible!
I'm brazilian and this is not the way to treat customers, at least not in Brazil.
The manager is rude as so are the waiters. Every time that I ""crave"" for some of their dishes I think twice before going there.
But, take a chance...

Cabana Carioca it's not a Brazilian place.The f ood is Portugues food mix with some Brazilian.The waiter's are Portugues and not Brazilian.If you dont know the difference,Brazilian people are very nice and the food amazing!
But if you are around the Times Square and dont want spend a lot of money Cabana Carioca is the place!
