We visited on a Saturday and could choose from the weekend menu for lunch
I had the buttermilk chicken with Mac and cheese and green beans for my sides
Chicken was outstanding but the sides were adequate. However, the buttermilk pie was worth the trip. Only my grandmothers was in the same league.

Four couples went together on Saturday evening, and the first bad sign was that at 6:00 p.m. there was only one or two couples in the entire restaurant. A good country style restaurant. The food is fresh and very good. Try the biscuits and bread. The owner is on premise and you will not be disappointed.

We were going to Louise's Rockhouse for some pie, but they were closed on Tuesdays. A local pulled into the parking lot and told us about Buttermilk. It was about :15 minutes away, but well worth the extra drive. We were looking for dessert and we were not disappointed.
