A nice location for a weekend in Bloomington. Right by Franklin Park and a short walk to downtown. The lady of the house is rather charming -- not the most outgoing personality, but knowledgable about the area. Her husband is in the entirely wrong business -- describing him as a curmedgeon is being polite. The place does have the look...

Two-night stay in early April. Great location on Franklin Park. Queen Anne's suite cannot be beat. The other interesting guests and the affable host, Maryann, made this a delightful stay. Little street traffic and a second fool view of the park.

If you are going to spend a night or more in Bloomington/Normal Illinois, and you want to try something other than a chain hotel/motel, I recommend that you try The Burr House Bed & Breakfast. Loved our stay. Our Host was very welcoming. Rooms were well appointed. Had great privacy. Breakfast was delicious. Company at the table sublime. Great access to downtown and Illinois Weslyan. Top marks all the way around!!! Even shared conversation with a Prince on the status the European Union!!!
