A friend of mine got a temp-to-hire job through Burnett in Houston and recommended me to their office in Austin. After applying and interviewing, they immediately offered me consistent temp work. I've been in touch with several ladies in the office and they've all been incredibly helpful and on the same page, working to get me working! Burnett makes me feel like a valued member of their team and they always treat me with great care and consideration.

Went on a temp to hire job with burnett staffing it paid very well with a well-known company. Training done by the company was not professional had to many it-computer problems. Training was for 1 day in a half which was suppose to be a week. Got first week check and was laid-off the following monday by the company claiming they need workers but now due to lack of work and budget cuts need to layoff temp. Workers. This was my second time be layed-off from a company but after this happen burnett recruiters never contacted me to see if they had anything else but i did leave several...

Don't know how they stay in business

I worked with Burnett about 5 years ago - they found me a job where I was ultimately hired on full-time and I stayed there for five years. Fast forward to six months ago, when I found myself again looking for work. Decided to try Burnett since I'd had such good luck before.

It's a different set of recruiters there now, and I honestly don't know how they stay in business. They put me on a couple of short term assignments that were just awful. I finished the last one over 2 months ago, and they've had nothing else for me since. I finally stopped bothering with them.

They only have low wage idiot jobs.

Despite my having a good administrative background, the only thing they have are one day jobs standing around and seating people at graduations for $8.00 an hour once every 2-3 months.

To even get interviewed and tested required many calls over a 1 week time frame. They don't care what your background is, just their one day stand around for $8.00 an hour idiot job.

Avoid them.

Pros

+ I did meet with one of them.

Cons

- No reason for them to exist.
