Help us make it rightA neighborhood Italian ristorante just steps from Chicago’s historic Logan Boulevard, Buona Terra strives to serve the fresh...est dishes in a relaxed setting. Opened in 2002, Buona Terra has become “the Neighborhood place”. You may see a family with children early on and later a party having drinks and fun at the bar. A true family-owned and operated restaurant, you might call Buona Terra’s...
A lively local Logan Square restaurant where you come for the food and leave as a friend. (Thanks Joey)
The food is great, the drinks are too and best of all, its a fantastic place to meet new and now friends.
For Italian meal that is never disappointing, dine at Buona Terra. From the freshly made pasta, to the freshly baked breads, everything is yum! The flavoring used is simple, but fresh. Servings are huge. The Thursday deals are the best with the prix fixe menu option, but check on other days before ordering. Service is good, but could be a little slow.
The traditional Italian fare here is good...although we don't know how traditional some of the menu items are (you won't find pesto mashed potatoes in any "real" Italian kitchen). The pastas are decent (although if you want it al dente, you might as well just bring your own), the ingredients are fresh, but honestly, they have whatever the Italian version of cojones are for charging what they do...
In Short
Floor-to-ceiling windows, funky artwork on exposed-brick walls and Italian fare attracts families and couples seeking an alternative to the area taquerias. Dishes include...
I feel so lucky (and maybe unlucky?) that Buona Terra is right around the corner from me on California. This family-owned restaurant is intimate, yet lively. I first went with my roommate's family, then with my own... and saw another friend there with her parents. So yeah, it's definitely a crowd-pleaser.
