Our visit to the Budget Motor Inn in Mahopac was a little peculiar. Most importantly, we were very grateful that the inn was there at all as we were on a multi-day bicycle trip with our grandson down the Putnam/North County Trailway and we needed to stay in the Mahopac area. There was an inch of dust on the furniture. For some reason u could not drink the water .. But only there, the diner next door was fine! Moldy smell!

When we arrived and checked into the room there was a sign in the room that you could not drink the water but they were providing 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water. There was no water in the room so we went back to the office and they gave us our water. When I went to take a shower, I discovered there were no washcloths.
