Sorry, but the Budget Cafe is definitely not worth stopping at although it is tempting due to being so close to the higher-class O'Cairns Motel. Most of the tables, menus, seating and so on have a very worn look. The food is below average and typical of the "greasy spoon" stereotype. Some may find it charming but the place lacked...

I had breakfast here a couple of times this past weekend. Large portions and perfectly acceptable, but nothing special. Based on some of the other reviews, I'm not sure I'd try anything from their lunch or dinner menus, but breakfast is served all day so I didn't need to worry about that.

A friend pulled in here last Saturday morning, and having been here before I was reluctant but didn't ask him to keep driving, so we sat and ordered. Food cane quick enough, but it would have been better to have not come at all. My scrambled eggs were burned on the outside and raw in the middle, hash browns...
