Brix's minimalist setting evokes California more than Connecticut---and the menu is equally Golden State-oriented, laden with offerings like corn cakes with goat cheese and olive tapenade, grilled portobellos with spinach and pine nuts and spinach linguine with prosciutto and Parmesan.

We never had a bad meal here. Their specials are terrific, wine list is excellent. Chef and his wife do a great job running a quiet, romantic and wonderful place. The decor is a little sparse, but we go for the food and pleasant atmosphere. I would love to see the bar expanded too, that area could use an update.

Wish they would expand the bar - usually bar sevrice is the best - the food is good and service eveen better - just brrighten and expand bar area and its perfect.
