Citysearch Editorial Review

The brothers Martignetti open a sleek new gastropub in the space formerly occupied by their brasserie, Bar Martignetti.

American brasserie grub isn't exactly the main attraction for the prep school set, but they come in droves. This is the downtown Dorrian's, where the St. Paul kids can come kick it with the Spence chicks and their friends from Collegiate and their cousin from Choate and...you get the picture. Eats like lamb chops, mac n' cheese, salmon tartare, steaks make good pre-party provisions before...

From the folks behind Martignetti Liquors, a sleek brasserie for before-the-party meals.

Prepped-out, 20-something young execs fill this American brasserie nightly, sliding into wide wooden booths and sipping wine at comfy banquettes. A vaulted, tin ceiling casts a glow on candlelit...

I loved this place!
We didn’t find it till our last whole day but I am very glad we did!
We were walking back from a shopping trip and decided that we would have a late lunch/early dinner before going to the theatre.
We all had (there was six of us) the fabulous Fried Pickles Chips – which are sliced...

I'd previously been a few times for drinks but this time sampled the food menu too. Greeted at the door and excellent service throughout. Bacon burger with sweet potato fries, was huge and cooked to my request, perfect. The Mrs had a club sandwich which was huge and she really enjoyed it too. Good pit stop for any afternoon.

A great bar with friendly staff. New York State beers and wines; a novel concept. Wonderful location between Soho and Little Italy.

Not so - they quickly sorted out a table - we ordered burger and chicken/avocado sandwich. Food arrived within 15 minutes - and it was good. So perfect timing and good food...

I say "I was surprised" because when we walked in, it was empty. We were there around 12:15 so I guess we were early for lunch. There were 6 of us and 3 of them were from the U.K. so I was also nervous that I was taking Brits to a pub which is something they see too much of...
