Help us make it rightFirm chunks of Albacore tuna, lightly and perfectly beer battered by Ron and Linda, stand ready to soak up malt vinegar or scoop tartar sauce. Our thick steak fries are crunchy outside and tender inside, much more than a side dish.
Great fish and chips. Not much else. No place to sit and eat. Just wonderful take away. Funky building that once saved as a boat.
Visiting Astoria with my son, hotel recommended Bowpicker fish and chips. Very busy but worth the wait! Flaky fresh fish, not greasy, great price. You gotta try it ?
Very unique setup. We enjoyed overlooking the river while eating our fish and chips. The fish was very mild tasting, firm, and meaty. Delicious batter! With a little malted vinegar, it was fish fry perfection. It's a must try in Astoria!
I was very disappointed as were my guests from out of State. The line was expected, the quality of the fish and chips was not. We're local and it had been many years since our last visit when
food was recommendable. The fish was dry, the chips were oil soaked. We've crossed the Bow Picker off our list.
Great fish, stationary old boat converted to hand out fried fish. Excellent for take out, or for the 22 days a year or didn't rain, one can eat at the picnic benches nearby. Very nice folks and decent prices and that is hard to find in Astoria.
Bowpicker Fish & Chips is a boat converted into a food truck that sells lightly beer battered Albacore tuna and steak fries. Served with a scoop of tartar sauce, the fish nuggets are fresh, light and crispy. There is usually a queue outside the food truck as the fish is made to order. Affordable and delicious, the generous portions of fish and chips are always served with a smile.
