Help us make it rightBorder Cafe serves the best margaritas in town. Maybe that is why patrons do not seem to mind the wait that is often well over an hour on weekends. There is an enthusiastic atmosphere at the restaurant, since many of the diners are college students and exuberant tourists. Favorites include zesty, fizzling Fajitas and Popcorn Shrimp. This is a good choice for a large party.
This busy Harvard Square hangout, which is popular with college students and locals alike, offers heaping portions of inexpensive Tex-Mex and Cajun eats. Everyone likes the complimentary warm homemade tortilla chips covered in salt, served with a side of chunky salsa and washed down with a top-shelf margarita. From the overflowing platters of nachos with black beans, pico de gallo and melted...
"Filling" chow for "cheap" is the formula at this "family-friendly" trio, a "must-go" for "tasty" Cajun–Tex-Mex eats served up "extremely fast" with "bottomless chips" and salsa and "giant margaritas"; some find it "not super-authentic" and the setting "clichéd", but "still, they come in droves", so peak hours are a "total zoo."

This Harvard Square hangout has been packing 'em in since 1987 with generous portions of tasty food that goes well with beer and margaritas. Patrons loiter at the bar for hours, enhancing the festival atmosphere. Finally seated, you'll probably have to shout your order. Try an excellent chorizo appetizer, quesadillas (shrimp and crawfish is delectable), tacos, or popcorn shrimp. Fajitas for one...
This is a popular (crowded) restaurant close to Harvard Yard.
Our food was tasty with very large servings.
The menu and decor is classic Mexican with a selection of Mexican bottled beers and margaritas available. No draft beers or local beers.

My friend and I walked in just to peak at the menu but they were so friendly they convinced us to stay and I was glad they did! The chips and salsa are so yummy and the food was DELICIOUS!!! I guess I should say...
GREAT MIX OF MEXICAN, CAJUN AND AMERICAN FOOD. Great portions, absolutely stunningly cheap prices. Beautiful atmostphere, always fun music blasting. Service staff are excellent and on task and do things before you need them.
This was the second time at this establishment in the past year. They do not take reservations, but despite the fact that the place was packed, we only had to wait about five minutes for a table. We were a party of four. Three in...
Came for a drink with a friend on a Friday at 4:30. We got a table and had guac and drinks. Both were good but it was very loud and by the time we left around 6, there was a wait for those coming in....

In the chain-restaurant heaven known as Route 1, this offspring of the Cambridge restaurant is a step up. Predictable but satisfying Tex-Mex and good Cajun dishes (try the crawfish etouffee) make up the menu. Best of all are the free warm, salty tortilla chips, and tangy salsa. Weekend nights get crowded.

The Extras: Vegetarians take heart: The restaurant offers a full page of meatless menu options.
