Decent hamburgers and breakfast items. Good service, friendly staff. This is a very old-school type of experience. Also quick in and out, which is important when you're traveling.
With visitors this last weekend, we decided to go to Big Boy for their breakfast bar. The food was hot and plentiful. For the price, we expected a little more. The service was good but the buffet was lacking. Wouldn't go for the buffet.
Stopped for a hot breakfast as I am on a diet. Ordered eggs, toast and coffee. The coffee came immediately and was hot and tasted good. The eggs and toast followed shortly afterwards. No problems. Waitress was pleasant and kept my cup full.
We've been going to Big Boy's since I was a kid and I've always loved it. I always seems to go with the Slim Jim and my daughter gets the fish and chips. We used to go there fairly often until they began cutting the portion sizes but keeping the prices the same.
