Great for college students on the weekend not so great for anyone else

We went to Bluebird last Sunday after seeing a 90% "Like it" rating on UrbanSpoon. For us this was a terrible visit. From the time we placed our order to the the time it hit our table was 45 minutes. Nostalgia for sure, but service can be hit or miss. Basic breakfast and lunch- priced appropriately for the quality and taste.
Not inexpensive.
Will probably return but not anytime soon.

We had breakfast at the Bluebird on Sunday. Service was beyond terrible....we waited an hour for our food. Our server delivered our food to the wrong table, then realized it a few minutes later, went to their table and picked it up, and then brought it to us....ice cold. We told her and she took it and warmed it in...

The Bluebird, open since 1970, is a great place to get home-cooked food in Norwood. There are daily specials. Its fairly inexpensive here, and theres a nice southern diner feel to the place.
