Help us make it rightI would NOT recommend the BlueZone to anyone, it is a terrible internet service. I recently cancelled my account with them. The service would constanly go down for days, and quite often the connection would disconnect and then reconnect and then disconnect repeatedly. I called their customer service number practically every week for the past several month's with connection problems and most of the time you get someone that doesn't even know how to fix the problem and they would say ""Only a level two technician can fix that"", but they never have a level two tecnician available to assist...
I have had Blue Zone internet since May 2007. It started out rough. Intermittant service for the first few months but they gave them to me for free. Sometimes when the weather gets bad the service does go down, but not often anymore. I usually get up and down speeds that are faster than I pay for, but that has only recently been happening. It's worth the $20 I pay a month. Blue Zone speeds are not for streaming movies though, but fast enough for low res youtube videos.
Blue Zone has data transfer limits. 8GB a month for my 512K speed. They have charged me $5 for going over, but not the...
This internet service, and I use the term ""service"" loosely, is the ABSOLUTE worst internet service on the planet. Do yourself a favor and get Comcast, it may be more expensive but its oh so worth it. I've had Blue Zone internet for about 3 months now and it never, never, never works. It works maybe 5% of the time and its of no use to call the company, they could give a rats behind if your service is working or not. Ive been calling them for over a month now and complaining and I get the same answer everytime I call, Im on ""the list"" for repair and they will call me in the next few...
Ryan was a little nice in his review, he was mostly right on the mark.
My service has been down for now 8 days. I've watched my priority go from no priority to CRITICAL to presently CATASTROPHIC. My service is intermittant at best, when the outside temperature gets below freezing I loose all service. However, today being a week day I stayed home from work as I knew a service technician was coming out at 9 a. m. to finally take care of the problem. Not even a CATASTROPHIC priority could get them out here. I wasted a day off work, no phone calls, no courtacy, no service . . . ....
I've been a blue zone customer for the past 5 years, (until today). This company does not understand who keeps them in business. It does not staff it's service department and any real questions have to be ""emailed to the billing manager.""
While the options are inexpensive, it is a slow service due to the satellite, customer service is lacking (not the people but the wait times to get to a person) and their service department is not empowered to do anything.
So long Blue Zone!
Pros
+ Inexpensive
Cons
- You get what you pay for...
