Since the Japanese are known for their sense of aesthetics, it's odd that this room feels like a rave party straight out of the late 1990s. The bracingly loud techno and faux open-flame lamps distract while you scream your order at your server. Once it arrives, however, its quality is fine... but not really mind-blowing in a city that offers many nigiri alternatives for the same money.
The atmosphere is industrial chic blended with mussed-up minimalist. Servers are working on their 'tude while the sushi chefs are tackling the tataki tuna. Delivery was faster than expected and the food was great with some minor issues:
1) Rolls weren't always cut completely through. This led to some structural failures.
2) The tempura was a bit soggy in places, but overall retained it's crispiness better than I expected.
