The new Black Bear Diner in Carmel works hard to transport us back to a carefree moment in time. Just sit back in between mouthfuls of meatloaf and read the Black Bear Gazette. It's 1961. America is not at war. Ozzie and Harriet rule the tube. A house by the beach in Carmel rents for $125 a month.
