In 1979 I left Sambo's and went to work as a general manager for Kings Table Buffet and within 6 months I was promoted to the district manager in charge of 6 locations. I remained with Kings Table until 1986 when Barbara and I decided it was time to start our own restaurant. We opened a full service restaurant and later added a convenience store.

I usually enjoy this restaurant but I would seriously avoid them today!! They are short staffed, unorganized and when they finally took our order 40 minutes later, it then came out wrong!!!!
3 of 4 of us got our meals, 15 minutes later still no 4th meal!! We had to ask for it and wait again for it to be cooked. It was 2HOURS of aggravation!!!
The corned beef hash was awesome. Real corned beef in large pieces, with potatoes etc in a healthy portion along with really good hash browns, eggs, and biscuit. All of that and coffee. It was not 20.00, nor 15. The breakfast was 10 plus coffee. Not bad at all. Plus they give you a Take Away for the leftovers.
I was a bit put off when a friend suggested lunch at Biscuits in Gresham. It wasn't one of
those quaint cafés where we so often met. But think: do not judge a book by its cover.

I had eaten in the Biscuits located in Clackamas where I was really disappointed. When I was getting a service at Gresham Subaru, the staff insisted I give this one a try. I was so glad they did. The food was good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was up beat and fun.
If your business name includes the word biscuit, perhaps the biscuits you serve should be memorable. Small in size and tasted like a dinner roll, not a biscuit. Overall the food was delicious.

My wife and I have been in the restaurant business our entire lives. We met while working at a Sambo's restaurant in 1968. I know a blessing when I find it so I asked Barbara to marry me in December of 1968.
