An "inspired wine list" (including "flights up the wazoo") is matched with "incredible cheese" and other "well-prepared" New American plates at this "reasonably priced" River North "meeting spot"; "knowledgeable staffers" offering "pairing suggestions" add to a "convivial atmosphere" in the "contemporary, open" space, and diners can buy bottles of their favorites from the adjoining shop.

Where to Eat Rabbit on Easter Sunday

Some people enjoy brunch on Easter Sunday, some people enjoy an Easter egg hunt, some people enjoy celebrating the Easter Bunny with a hearty meal of rabbit. There are a few restaurants around town that allow people to indulge in this pastime, whether stuffed in pasta, baked in a savory pie, cooked on a rotisserie, or thin-sliced and pan-fried scallopini-style. Here are the places in Chicago to...

Is Bin Wine Cafe Shuttered or Reconcepting?

Wicker Park has seen a recent slew of closings and it looks like there may be one more to add to the list. Bin Wine Cafe has been "closed for renovations" according to a sign on its window since early December, but they recently posted to their Facebook page, "Thanks to everyone for their support. Unfortunately the Bin Wine Cafe is closed for good. We thank you all for the great times and...

This hip hybrid—a fine-dining establishment, a lively wine bar, and an excellent cheese purveyor—serves wine and cheese pretty much any way you want it. For wine, you can choose by the bottle, glass, half glass, and as flights of multiple 2½-ounce tastings. For cheese, options are by individual sample or multiples—or as an ingredient, as in the lamb meatballs stuffed with manchego cheese,...

Don’t underestimate the power of a good wine bar, especially when the food rocks.

Bin 36 Restaurant Review: Chicago’s decade-old Bin 36 entered a new era---ushering it in with an almost entirely different menu (don't worry---the killer black pepper-crusted swordfish remains). Its cheese program, already first-rate, expanded; now, lovely artisanal finds range from ultra-creamy, lemony burrata from Italy to nutty goat from Oregon and Tumbleweed's cave-aged raw-milk cow from...

Bin 36 is a great place to talk in a warm and inviting ambiance where you really feel like you can nestle in as a guest. We shared the roast duck last night as our entree, preceded by the scallops appetizer. Both prepared perfectly and paired with wines from their vast selection of wines by the glass.

Enjoyeable. Went before the Opera. Small plates so you can have choise of food but not be to full to enjoy a 3 hour opera. The lamb shoulder was great. The mushrooms quite taste. Picked a couple of small pours pf wine spanish wines both outstanding. The wines are so well organized. You can become an 3xpert after a few visits

Service was terrible. They ran out of sangria at 8 pm which is kind of early. The squash was bland.

The wine flights and dessert menu are key ingredients. We weren't ecstatic about the food. It's not bad, but it is easily forgettable.

Dinner tab was $149.00 and we left very hungry. Wine was nice, but food was way overpriced, not especially tasty, and miniature portions. I would not return unless it were just for a glass of wine.
