Bijoux Restaurant Review

Formerly a stronghold of multi-course, prix-fixe menus, this Inwood Village gem underwent a bit of a makeover back in the spring of 2012, reopening with a different à la carte menu and slightly more approachable pricing. The service and dining room remain as formal --- some might call it “stuffy” --- as ever, though, with a glitzy chandelier focal point, high-backed chairs and white...

Refined French fare in six-course tastings with à la carte options too in contemporary dining room. Try the Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek.

Overpriced for what they serve .

I was expecting a better french menu ...You should not call your restaurant a french with the type of menu that you serve .

Very nice place, but food is NOT superb

I read a review saying that the food here is superb; it isn't. I order fresh oysters, which came awash in vinegar to the extent that all oyster flavor was swamped. My risotto was okay and made that grade only because of generous slices of truffle (the rice itself was a bit too al dente; my dining partner wouldn't even eat his). The fish was good. I liked the restaurant ambiance very much. Our...

Christmas Eve Dinner was Disappointing

The pea soup was too thick and had the consistency of baby food. The lobster dinner was below average. The souffle was lovely. The meal was below average for the price. We dine out frequently and were very disappointed.

My wife & I (new to Dallas just 2y) have now been to Bjouix for our third meal. Great service & attention to detail without being intrusive. Wonderful food-- love the foie gras & pork cheeks, wine list spacious with many fine choices & ambiance quiet, unhurried & relaxing It is becoming a real favorite of ours, despite many other great choices in our neighborhood which serve as their competition

Best Restaurants, French, Romantic Dining, Highland Park's Best Restaurants: Softly hued, elegant fabrics and furnishings adorn this dining room, where patrons enjoy outstanding selections from well-conceived prix fixe and tasting menus. Start with Hudson Valley foie gras or Malpeque oysters with black pepper mignonette, and then choose from amazing meat and fish dishes like Icelandic Arctic...

Scott and Gina Gottlich (he’s chef, she’s sommelier) recently refashioned their elegant restaurant into a bistro, but it doesn’t feel like a bistro; it feels like the same elegant restaurant, but with lower prices. The menu is now completely a la carte, except in the Chef’s Room, where tasting menus are offered Thursday through Saturday nights. The French- and Italian-accented menu features...

Scott Gottlich’s refashioned bistro is turning out fine food. Corn chowder, fettuccine scrambled around littleneck clams and duck schnitzel with chunky potato salad were the highlights of our most recent visit.
