Wow. You left your bike there for several days for a minor service and a flat; first of all, you should've gone back the next day to reclaim your bike, they probably would have remembered you even without a reciept. Secondly, you are right, it is your fault for not taking a reciept with a return number. Thirdly, you left the bike there for "several weeks"? Are you serious? What doofus would do...

Beware of leaving your bike without a receipt.

After having both my bikes serviced at Bicycle Station ($150) I returned to have a flat fixed several days later. I was in a hurry and did not take a receipt. This was my responsibility.

I returned seven weeks later and there was no sign of my bike.The owner was not interested in making any sort of recompense and was adamant that the 'not responsible for items left after 30 days' disclaimer meant what it said.

The bike had a Bicycle Station sticker because it was bought from the previous owners. He said he didn't care. I didn't buy it from him. He did say he had fired an employee for...
