We just stayed at the hotel Erwin for 3 nights, The hotel was nice but our room had a smell like wet carpet but the carpet didn't seem to be cleaned recently because my wife was wearing white socks and the were completely black within an hour. We stayed for 4 nights and could not fault anything. Ideally located on Venice Beach, staff amazing.
We went to Flakes, Rose Ave, excellent breakfast and atmosphere, also Figtree Cafe on Venice Beach, does 50% off breakfast daily between 8-9am.
Lots of nice places to eat at Marina Del Ray, Cheesecake Factory, always good.
Used Uber to get around, excellent...

I stay at probably 25-30 hotels per year. I’m a commercial photographer and travel extensively for work Choosing the right hotel can be tricky and about 80% of the time, my expectations are not met. The Erwin belongs to that small group of hotels that exceed my expecations.

Hip, Trendy Hotel in the Heart of Venice

Overall, good spot - staff, rooms, cleanliness. Location is, of course, fantastic. Right next to the ocean and Venice boardwalk. Generally, the vibe of the hotel is too trendy for my taste, but damn what a view from my balcony! Of course, if you don't have an ocean side balcony, you can hang out in the rooftop bar.
