Rip off alert!!! Be warned and be prepared to pay 600% or better markup of the suggested retail of any item. The staff seems pleasant, makes recommendations but that's all part of the lure....

This is just a heads up about Digital Powell rip off that is taking place everyday in the heart of San Francisco. I bought a camera, a memory card (4Gb), and a camera bag from Best Camera (Digital Powell) on O'Farrell Street for 260, 39 and 27 dollars while the retail prices are $80, $9 and $6 respectively. I was lied to by the sale person (Tony) and made to believe that the items are discounted; otherwise I wouldn't pay that money. When I confronted the sale person about this an hour later, he refused to take back the items and return back my money. Something should be done to stop these...
