Since Katrina, not a good place from what I have observed

Since their arrival, the area has gone downhill, and I feel bad for the residents and the people in the adjoining neighborhood. One might find a loaded gun tossed in an alleyway or sidewalk or abandoned stolen property; someone is accousted and robbed or assaulted; unsavory characters hanging around day and night; recently, a passing motorist found that a bullet had passed through his window after he drove by the apartment complex northbound on Preston Rd.

Pros

+ Good location overall, on bus route, near shopping centers

Cons

- Katrina evacuees and Section 8 have moved in
