After recommendations from friends and reading reviews, gave Benno's a try on a Friday night for the Fish Fry and sample some of the 32 beers on tap. Staff was very friendly and helpful in describing the different fish options with both baked and fried available. If you are unsure about a beer, samples are available. If you're a 'fancy beer' drinker, this is the place for you. Huge selection on tap or bottled, accompanied by a larger than average food menu (for a bar).

Really enjoyed our first try in this cozy, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helped with our selections. As burger roadies, this hit the spot for us. Benno's is just your average corner bar with a better beer selection. there are at least 20 different varieties that focus on micro brews and imports. The food is typical bar food with fish fries on Friday. The one highlight on the menu is the home made soups. The gumbo and clam chowder are always good, and often we will stop in just for a beer and a bowl. -
