Bellota at 42

The first time I tried Bellota at 42, it looks like almost everything, other that company did not seem right. Despite reserverations we had to wait, and the noisy bar hardly made for a good segway into the special meal that we were looking forward to.

The menu can be a bit intimidating at first but you just have to go for it. If you like the main ingredient then I promise you'll love the whole thing. The ambiance is very romantic yet not only geared toward couples. Perfect for dining with friends or family. The service is spot-on. Very attentative and knowledgable. And the prices of the dishes are very affordable. About $8/per item-except...

Love it, love it, love it! The tapas style dining was perfect for our group of 6 - everyone was able to sample several delicious dishes. The staff was very attentive and took good care of us. Special thanks to Miguel for his recommendations and patience. Plus beautiful views! I will definitely be back.

Bellota was my first experience with tapas, and it was great! Love that you get to try different menu items, and I have to say, they have the BEST pork fried rice. The decor and setup is pretty cool, and the views looking outside are absolutely beautiful. The food here is good; not great, but really good. Individual small plates can quickly add up to a larger bill than expected. The place is pretty if a bit awkward in layout, and the staff was somewhat on the amateurish side; going missing or not knowing much about the menu. All in all though, it's fun, especially with a larger group.
