My house was destroyed by hurricane Sandy and hired Bell to do our HVAC system when my house was rebuilt, right from the start it was a disaster, so many phone calls and no shows. When they finally finished installing the system it sounded like a freight train and was not balanced, after numerous trys to balance the system by using their hands no instruments, I had to hire another contractor to look at and balance the system and found out the Evaporator coil is made for a R410A freon and the condenser made for R22 freon. This mistake cost me an additional $6000 which I didn't have, Sandy and Bell were not good to my family.
They were a sub on a project of a gut renovation and addition. Because they did not show up and install the heating system, there was a delay of over a month in getting work to progress during the winter. For a $30K installation job, the tried to install analog thermostats. The final thermostats installed do not take advantage of the variable speed air handler. When it was time to balance the system, they expected me to do it. After numerous calls and a few no shows during the week, they balanced most of the system and then left one of the rooms with no air coming through. Never returned to finish the job right.
