This place is a little more upscale than most restaurants in town. It offers a fairly wide selection of main dishes, but would not be the best choice for vegetarians. I've been a handful of times, and I've always enjoyed the meat (steak, chicken, hamburger, etc.)
Staff were very nice and appropriately dressed for dinner. The chicken-fried steak was cooked perfectly. This soup was delicious plus the atmosphere of the restaurant well presented.
Cons prices for food are high
But that is to be expected with a fancy restaurant. They need more promotional gimmicks to get more people in there restaurant.
A large group of friends and I had a great evening. The service was very fast and attentive and friendly.
The food came at the same time even though there were about 20 of us all ordering different meals.

My husband and I had lunch here. The food was amazing! I had the chicken fried chicken lunch special. I loved the sides as well. The portions were generous. Everything was great and we look forward to going again. Such a nice atmosphere and server was very attentive (I believe his name was Casey).
We visited Beehive in downtown Abilene and found it to be exceptional. My wife had a filet and I had fish. Both were perfectly prepared. The service was stellar. If you visit Abilene this is a must visit restaurant.

Beehive Restaurant in Abilene serves lunch and dinner but is closed between 1:30 and 5 p.m. and on Sundays and Mondays. It serves only certified Black Angus beef that is aged and then grilled over mesquite coals.
