The best Coffee House in Seattle

If you're crazy about coffee, head to Bedlam - no, not the historic mental asylum of London, but the coffeehouse in Belltown . The menu here offers a diverse range of coffees and related beverages like Nutella Mocha, lavender mocha and many others. There's an interesting selection of delicious baked goodies and breakfast preparations, some bordering on unusual - if you're feeling adventurous,...

Great coffee and pastry in an underground decor

If Seattle ever gets to lead the revolution, it will start in Bedlam cafe. This alternative to coffee chain cafes is a great place to sit with friends or have a business meeting with good food and bev. Much more fun and inspiration than we've come to expect from a coffee joint.

I like this Belltown place for its coziness and location. Drinks are OK. the atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is my style (mix'n match) and staff friendly. Good WiFi.

Very cool coffee shop. There's two floors, both of which offer a laid back, relaxed vibe. The second floor has a lot of board games that you can play, which was a fun thing to do over morning coffee. The service was also great.

I loved the funky decor, unusually- flavored coffee and of course the board games! The only food I ate was their cinnamon toast for breakfast which was good but not as good as the coffee. This is the kind of place that I would hang out all the time if I lived in Seattle. Also, nice to see recycling and...

The anti St@rbu$ks! Politically eclectic

The very opposite of established corporate coffee chains. We've tried various independent coffee houses during our trip. This place did not disappoint . I prefer mocha's and bedlam had like 8 choices. I tried the black (dark chocolate ), my wife got French toast. Both were excellent. I also observed a number of locals come in for the brewed coffee....

When to Go

Unlike many coffee shops, Bedlam is open late on the weekends (until 3am), which makes it a perfect place to wind down after a night out in Belltown.

What to Drink

If you are able to branch out from the coffees, Bedlam carries pure cane sugar Coke and three types of hot chocolate: hazelnut, coconut and cinnamon.
