Bass River Golf Course, located in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, was founded in 1900. In 1914 it was redesigned and expanded by Golf Course Architect Donald Ross. A beautiful and challenging 18 holes featuring narrow fairways, small greens and views of Bass River. The signature hole is #9, a 169-yard par 3, which plays across marshland to an elevated green.

Great golf course

Played early on a Saturday morning, pace of play was a little slow due to it being peak season on the Cape. Some really great and challenging holes, #5 #9 #10 #11. Conditions were excellent tee to green. Hole #9 is a nice signature hole with Bass River running alongside. 19th hole is the best on the Cape.

Well designed, walkable course. Wide fairways for tee shots, but small greens demand good iron play. Front is par 34 & the back, which is more open, is par 38. Course makes you pay attention to score well, but does beat you up if you're a little off. Back patio with river view is the best 19th hole on the Cape.

This course could be great, but unfortunately they allow so many people to play at once that you spend the entire day waiting to play each hole. The aeration holes on the greens were so poorly filled with sand that it made even the most…
