Years i lived here without realizing where Barrington Stage actually was - and now I try to go regularly. The dance quality of musicals is astounding. The acting superior. I was literally shocked at how good (which might be a tad unfair)... but this is a hidden gem and very worth supporting. I've seen too many shows to list but...

Since their opening here several years ago, Barrington Stage has gotten better each year. Quality productions, main and small stages, a definite boost to the local economy, continuing involvement in community activities- the list goes on!

Wonderful shows

We go here two to three times a year. Performances always professional. Selection of shows are varied. We have enjoyed many one person performances. A highlight of the culturally rich berkshires.

His Girl Friday

Barrington Stage Company's production of His Girl Friday was overly long, poorly directed and disrespectful of the two pieces on which the playwright based his play. This is one of the worst productions I have seen in a 30 year career of professionally reviewing theater as a published critic in an Albany, NY newspaper.
